Dispatcher and train driverborn 1912 in Dinslaken Düsseldorf living in Oberhausen. Entered on the POW release document that he has a glass eye at the right side. He served: Jun.41-Aug.42 with Landesschützen-Bataillon 785 guarding POW’s in Limburg-Lahn Westerwald and later Weinheim; Jul.42 in hospital Heidelberg for a venereal disease; Aug.-Sep.42 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 107 in Idar-Oberstein; Sep.42-Aug.43 with the staff of Feldstraf-Gefangenen-Abteilung 9, an army field prisoners unit, penal unit, active in middle Russia (first under XXVI.Army Corps in Rshew, later under VI.Army Corps in the Welish area); Sep.43 discharged at Landesschützen-E.u.A.-Bataillon 12 in Mainz and not called-up again. Trained with K98 rifle and MG34. He was used as a POW guard of work crews.
