Mechanic born 1908 in Vienna Austria. He served: Nov.39 with Ersatz-Kompanie für Motorschützen Einheit 4/10; Jun.40 in hospital in Bad Kösen for a mental breakdown; 1940-1941 with Landesschützen-Bataillon 895 guarding POW’s in Austria; May-Jun.41 in hospital for a shrapnel injury and for recovery (or training?) with truck drivers replacements unit Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 45; 1941-1942 with Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 9/1 and Schützen-Regiment 11 of the 9.Panzer-Division active in Middle Russia (Uman, Kiew, Dnjepr, Brjansk, Kursk); May-Jun.42 again in hospital for a mental breakdown; 1942-Mar.43 with Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 60 and Panzer-Grenadier-Regiment 11 of the 9.Panzer-Division active in Middel Russia (Woronesh, Orel, Orscha, Mogilew, Rshew); Mar.-Apr.43 in two field hospitals and hospital in Brest am Bug and Zwickau for shrapnel in his eye, he had to loose his left eye due to this injury; 1943-1945 attached to military personell collection units in his hometown Wien: Auffangstab Simmering, Auffangstab Wien-Strebersdorf, Auffangstab 417 Wien.
