Farmer born 1909. He served: May 40 with MG-Ersatz-Kompanie 474 in Bromberg; 1940-1941 with Wach-Bataillon 562 active under the 16.Armee during the campaign in France and 1941 active in Northern Russia; Jun.42 in hospital because he broke bones of his hand; 1942-1944 with Grenadier-Regiment 18 of the 6.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Rshew, Smolensk, Orel, Kursk, Gomel, Shlobin, Bobruisk); during this period he was Jul.-Aug.43 in hospital for shrapnell wound; 13.5.44 wounded due to an accident and till Oct.44 hospitalized (field hospitals and in Königsberg and Halberstadt); Oct.1944 with Reserve-Grenadier-Bataillon 37 in Denmark; 1945 with the new formed Grenadier-Regiment 1221 of the 180.Infanterie-Division active in the Rhine area near Venlo Holland and Wesel western Germany against the allied operation Plunder (Rhine Crossing) under the 1.Fallschirm-Armee and destroyed in the Ruhr pocket.
