Started service (dog-tag) with Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 3 in Rathenow; Aug.-Sep.41 in field hospital and horpital in Vienna Austria because of skin problems; Mar.42 in hopsital in Sorau because of breathing organ problems; service with 15./Artillerie-Lehr-Regiment(m) 3, an artillery demonstration unit based at the military compounds in Gross-Born; 1945 served with with Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 278 of the Jan.44 in Italy formed 278.Infanterie-Division active in Italy (Rimini, Forli, Faenza, Senio bridge head, Sillaro, Sesto-Imolese, Reno, Panaro, Po, Ferrara, river Etsch near Legnano, Vicenza, Bretna, Belluno). Entry on page 15 and 20 that he was Jun.45 at POW camp 13a in Italy and at the German headquarters in Bellaria. He was 1946 part of German working Coy 609, stamp on the first page. A rifle was issued in 1943.
