Shoe maker and brewery worker born 1910 in Gajar Malacka (Malcky) Hungary/Slovakia living in Vienna Austria. He served: Dec.39-Feb.40 with Ersatz-Bataillon Infanterie-Regiment 132 in Brünn; Feb.-Jul.41 with the MG company of Infanterie-Regiment 522 of the 297.Infanterie-Division, till May 41 based as occupation force in Poland, Jun.-Jul.41 active in Southern Russia (Cholm, Shitomir, later division was destroyed in Stalingrad). He was KIA on 22.7.41 in Wyssokije-Mlynki when he was hit by a piece of shrapnel in his heart (according to the letter of his CO to his wife). He was together with two other soldiers of his unit buried by his comrades 2km west of Wyssokije-Mlynki.
