RAD service Apr.-Sep.39 building military constructions military and was Sep.39 directly transferred to navy concrete construction unit Marine-Baukompanie I/314 Marne where he served till Sep.39. Volunteered the army and served: May-Aug.41 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 47 in Lüneburg; Aug.-Sep.41 marching to the front with Marsch-Bataillon 1090; Sep.-Oct.41 with Infanterie-Regiment 122 of the 50.Infanterie-Division active in Southern Russia (Perekop, Krim). He was KIA on 24.10.41 near Ischun (Ishun) 25km south of Armjansk. He was buried at the bridge over the Chatyrlyk river 4km south of Ischun.
