1) Iron Cross 2nd Class, 17.10.1916. Signed by a major of Regiments-Stabsquartier/Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 84.
2) Wound Badge in White (= Silver?), 3.8.1918. Signed by a Hauptmann of Preussisches Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 84. 1918 was the first year the Wound Badge was introduced in the German Army, so could be awarded for wounds of previous date (1916 when he got the EK2?).
3) Herzoglich Braunschweigische Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2.Klass, Braunschweig War Merit Cross 2nd Class, 28.10.1918. Signed by a Kanzleidirektor of Staatsministeriums Braunschweig.
4) Kyffhäuser Bund Kriegsdenkmüntze 1914-1918, 14.11.1925.

Living in Bottrop. He seved 1916-1918 as a rifle man (Musketier) with the Prussian 6./Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr.84.
