Bernard Bailey born 1922. Enlisted 15.4.1943 as typewriter/mechanic. After basic training service in durinmg the battles at the Western Front as a transportation corps (TC) mechanic. Service with 22 Heavy Workshop Coy REME, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. 22 Heavy Workshop Coy was for repairing heavy tracked vehicles and guns, during the campaign service in the field, after 1945 based at the Bloehm and Voss seaplane factory in the Hamburg dockyards as base workshop.When released in 1947 he had the rank of Cpl., Corporal.
