He served in WW1 as a lance corporal with the ammunition transport unit of the Bavarian 1.Reserve-Korps. 1918-1944 he was a police man at the rural police in Munich. He also worked for the Luftwaffe, probably as a leader of the air raid precaution in Munich.
War Merit Cross with and without swords awarded to one person is very RARE.
