Kommandogerät 40:
This is a later and improved version of the Kommandogerät 36, which it has superseded to a very large extent for use with all heavy antiaircraft guns. The four-meter, stereoscopic range finder used with the “40” model is mounted on the director, and gun data is transmitted electrically to the guns. It also uses the linear speed method of data computation. However, the “40” model can be operated by five men, whereas 11 men are required to operate the “36”.
