He served: Oct.41-Sep.42 with Nachrichten-Ersatz-Abteilung 64 based in Vienna Austria; Sep.42-Mar.43 with Nachrichten-Ersatz-Abteilung 17 also based in Vienna Austria; from Mar.43 onwards with Nachrichten-Abteilung 297 of the in Bordeaux France new formed (Jan.43 destroyed at Stalingrad) 297.Infanterie-Division, till Jun.43 formed and based in France securing the Chanel Coast, from Jun.43 active in anti partisans warfare: 1943 Serbia, Banat, Albania, Tirana; 1944 Albania, Tirana, Sarajewo; 1945 Croatia, Brod, Agram, Yugoslavia, Cilli.
