Farmer born 1921 in Thurn Forchheim. He served: Feb.-Aug.41 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 213 in Erlangen; Aug.-Sep.41 with Infanterie-Regiment 485 of the 263.Infanterie-Division active in central sector Russia (Smolensk, Wjasma). He was KIA in Nezhoda south of Sadki on 1.9.41 by shrapnel in his back. Nowadays probably still buried in his field grave, not moved to a war cemetery.

Georg Schleicher was not recovered during our re-interment activities. The planned transfer to the collective cemetery in Duchowschtschina was, therefore, unfortunately not possible. His name will be recorded in the cemetery’s memorial book.
