He served: Oct.-Dec.37 as gunner with Flak-Regiment 32 in Berlin-Heiligensee; Aug.39-Jan.40 with Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 225 of Luftgau III Berlin; Jan.-Sep.40 with Flak-Regiment 32, Apr.40 to Narvik but lost all its equipment en-route, later active in the West; Sep.40-May 41 with Reserve-Flak-Abteilung 302 active in Norway; May-Dec.41 with Flak-Regiment 33 active in Norway (Stavanger); Dec.41-Jul.43 with Flak-Regiment 83 active in Norway (Lofoten); Jul.43-Oct.44 with Gem.Flak-Abteilung 504 active in Norway (Eismeer); Oct.44-May 45 with Schwere Flak-Abteilung 103(v) also actibe in Norway (Bardufoss).
