Luftwaffe service since 1.10.40 with Luftnachrichten-Kompanie Bayreuth; 1941 for board radio operator schooling with Luftflotten-Nachrichtenschule 5 in Erfurt; 1942 with dive bomber school Stuka-Schule 2 in Graz Austria. Entered in the license by CO of the school, Oberstleutnant, that he was radio operator on Ju87 dive bomber planes.
