2) Wound Badge in Black, 8.5.42. Signed by the Chefarzt of military hospital in Magdeburg.

He served 1942 with 5./Infanterie-Regiment 555 (Oct.42 renamed Grenadier-Regiment 555) of the 330.Infanterie-Division 1942 active in Middle Russia (Demidow, Welish). He got wounded for the first time on 22.2.42 and was hospitalized in Magdeburg.
