Tannenberg: 1935-1939 Passenger ship of the Norddeutsche Lloyd Seedienst Ostpreussen for 2000 passengers. 1939 transferred to the Kriegsmarine and refitted as a mine laying ship. Crew 114 men, 3x150mm gun, 4x37mm anti aircraft gun, 6x20mm MG, appr. 460 sea mines. 1940 active in the North Sea as the flag ship of the “Minenschiffsflotte”, sunk 1941 when it got trapped in a Swedish mine field.
