Born 1889 in Salzgitter Prussia. He served Oct.1909-Sep.1911 with Infanterie-Regiment 7/144 (IR144?). Called-up again in 1914 and Aug.1914-May 1917 service at the Western Front with 7./Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 67. He was taken POW by the French army on 5.5.1917. Released from POW camp in Mar.1920.
His WW2 Wehrpass (no military service) is listed under D21177A.
