Dentist born 1906 in Bevensen living in Mellendorf. Studied in Göttingen and Hamburg. NSDAP member 1931-1939, 1937-1937 leader of Ortsgruppe Mellendorf. SA member 1932-1934. NSV member since 1933 and 1935 leader of NSV Ortsgruppe Mellendorf. 1933-1936 working as a dentist and surgeon in Bissendorf. Called-up (volunteered) for the military January 1940 and served 1940-1941 as Gefreiter with Bau-Bataillon 245. Discharged 1941 and call-up again. 1942 as Unterarzt with medical company of the 182.Infanterie-Division. 1943 as Unterarzt with military hospital Kriegslazarett Rennes in Brittany France. 1944-1945 as Assistentarzt with Sanitäts-Kompanie(mot) 2.Panzer-Division active in France (Normandy and Fallaise pocket), Ardennes (Bastogne) and battle of the Rhine. Taken POW by the Americans on 7.4.45. 1945-1946 working as a POW dentist in POW camp in Bougainville and Fallingbostel. Discharged Sep.46. He was entitled to: War Merit Cross 2nd Class (1943) and Iron Cross 2nd Class (1944). After the war still working as a dentist and (dental/face reconstruction) surgeon in Schönebeck, Rathenow and other places.
