The Niemand family was before 1939 living in Striegau (Strzegom) Poland and were „Reichsdeutscher“, ethnic Germans living in Poland. Johanna Nieland born 1908 in Striegau, Walter Niemand born 1909 in Halbendorf, two sons born in Striegau. Walter served Aug.39-1945 with the German Wehrmacht, 1944 as medical orderly, Sanitäts-Obergefreiter“ with Führungs-Nachrichten-Regiment 601 active under direct command of Army Upper Command. After WW2 they could not go back to their home town in Poland and were German refugees. 1946-1948 they stayed as refugees in Schönbrunn Wunsiedel in Bavaria.
