Miner born 1911 in Berlin and living in Berlin. He served: Apr.-May 40 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 178 in Potsdam; May-Jun.40 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Regiment 218 of Division Nr.153 in Potsdam; Jul.40 with Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 20, field replacements unit of the 20.Infanterie-Division based as occupation force in France; Jul.40-Aug.41 with Infanterie-Regiment 50, Jul.-Aug.40 under the 3.Infanterie-Division, active in France securing the demarcation line, from Sep.40 onwards under the 111.Infanterie-Division 1941 active in Southern Russia (Dubno, Shitomir, Kiew). He was KIA (artillery wound neck) on 27.8.41 and buried with his comrades at the cross road 100m east of Okuninowo. Nowadays buried at the war cemetery in Kiew.
