Sales man born 1914 in Ozionz Posen. He served: Oct.36-Oct.38 with 14./Infanterie-Regiment 33 in Dessau; Aug.39-Jan.42 with Infanterie-Regiment 467 of the 267.Infanterie-Division, 1940 active in Belgium and France (Ardennes, Namur, Flandern, Artois, Lille, Calais, Aisne, Dunkirk), 1941-42 in middle Russia ( Brest-Litowsk, Bialystok, Bobruisk, Jelnja, Wjasma, Moscow, Moshaisk); he got wounded on 30.7.41 (Bobruisk area) by shrapnel in his under arm, but stayed with his unit; 26.1.42 while active in the Moshaisk area frostbite right heel, blatter problems and muscular rheumatism and was repatriated to Germany; Jan.-Jul.42 with Infanterie-Panzerjäger-Ersatz-Kompanie 31; Jul.42-Oct.43 again with Infanterie-Regiment 467 of the 267.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Juchnow, Spass-Demensk). He was KIA on 26.10.43 near Rabowitschi Russia (Belarus). First entered in the Wehrpass as missing in action on 26.10.43, later changed to KIA. Nowadays probably still buried in his field grave in Rabowitschi, not reburied on a war cemetery. He was posthumously promoted to Hauptmann (1.10.43).
