Born 1911 in Schillno-Thorn. Civil occupation as a gun smith. Used as weapon specialist at his unit. He served (volunteered): Nov.35-Oct.36 with Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 13 based in Magdeburg; discharged 1936; Apr.-May 39 training as PAK gunner with 14.(Panzerabwehr)/Infanterie-Regiment 1 based in Gumbinnen; called-up again in 1939; Aug.-Nov.39 with Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 267 of the 267.Infanterie-Division at that moment based in the Eifel; discharged for some reason on 25.11.39 (probably needed in the war industries because of his profession as gun smith).
