Entitled to: Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (20.9.41), Military Longs Service Medal 4th Class (for 5 years service before WW2) and Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class.
Born 1911 in Stederdorf-Peine. He was 1932-33 schooled as a police man at the Polizei-Schule in Hildesheim and served till Dec.34 with the Landespolizei in Harburg. Dec.34 he was transferred tot he Army medical service and served till WW2 with several military medical stations and hospitals: Sanitäts-Stelle Kiel, Sanitäts-Staffel Harburg, Sanitäts-Staffel Oldenburg, Reservelazarett Oldenburg. Dec.39-Feb.41 he served with Sanitäts-Kompanie 183 of the 83.Infanterie-Division 1940 active in Belgium and France; Feb.-Jun.41 with Sanitäts-Ersatz-Bataillon 10; Jun.-Aug.41 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 46 in Neumünster; Aug.-Oct.41 with 2./Infanterie-Regiment 21 of the 17.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Gomel, Tschernigow, Moscow). He was KIA (shot in the heart “Herzschuss”) on 20.10.41 at Shiljakowa.
