Born 1872 in Pössneck. He served from 1892 till 1937 with several different army units as a paymaster. Several times with Bavarian Infanterie-Regiment 16 (this was the same regiment Adolf Hitler served with in WW1). WW1 service at the Western Front (Nancy-Epinal, La Bassee, Somme, Aisne, Champagne, Flandern (battle for the Kemmelberg). Other units: 1.Bavar.Jäger-Bataillon; Korpszahlmeister I Armee-Korps; Military court, Mil.Strafamt; Fussartillerie-Regiment; IR16; IR12; Fussartillerie-Regiment 1 where he was wounded 28.2.16 and hospitalized; Feldartillerie-Regiment; ill and hospitalized; Feld-Kolonne 81; Fahrabteilung 7 (100.000 Mann Heer); Infanterie-Regiment Kempten; Infanterie-Regiment Reichenhall; Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 100; Wehrkreissverwaltung VII; Staff 7.Infanterie-Division. Retired 31.5.37. Called-up again for WW2 service: Sep.39-Apr.40 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 179; Jun.-Oct.40 paymaster of Army District Office VII; Mar.-May.42 head of administration at military hospital Bad Wörishofen and discharged from military service (70 years old at that time !!).
