Born 1916, living in Dachau. After his RAD service he served Oct.38-Jan.39 with Infanterie-Regiment 63 based in Eichstätt. Jan.39 he was discharged from military service but was called-up again in Jun.41 and served Jun.-Sep.41 with 4.(MG)/Infanterie-Ersatz-Kompanie 217 based in Lenggries. Sep.41-Jun.42 (wounded) he served with 12.(MG)/Infanterie-Regiment 19 (1944 renamed Infanterie-Regiment List) of the 7.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Smolensk, Wjasma, Moscow, Gshatsk). On 15.2.42 he got wounded (frostbite both feet) and was till Jun.42 hospitalized in Russia. Jun.42 he was transferred back to Germany (replacements unit in Munich) and was on 3.2.43 discharged from military service because he was medically unfit.
