Wound Badge in Silver, 12.11.43. Signed by the CO of Grenadier-Regiment 116, Major. Comes together with a copy of his 1943 Wound Badge in Black citation.

He served 1943 with 4.(MG)/Grenadier-Regiment 116 of the 9.Infanterie-Division, 1943 active in Southern Russia and the Ukraine (Caucasus, Kuban and Krim). He got wounded for the first time on 8.5.43 and for the third time on 5.11.43. He was most probably not hospitalized for a long time because both wound badges were awarded at his unit.
