4) Iron Cross 2nd Class, 9.7.44. At the back typewritten information from his CO why he was awarded. Signed by the CO of the, Generalmajor Walter Denkert (?).
5) Drivers Proficiency Badge in Bronze, 6.9.44. Signed by the CO of Grenadier-Regiment 29, Major. Issued just before the unit was active in Metz.
6) Temporary document for the Winter War Medal, 26.8.42. Signed by his CO, Leutnant, stating he will get the real award document later.
7) Mobilization document “Bereitstellungsschein”, 21.11.39.
8) Two military train/travel tickets, Nov.43. For traveling from Sette Bagni to Berlin and back for a short refreshing holiday. Field post number 04711 = Grenadier-Regiment 29.

Born 1918 in Reinheim. He served: 1942 with Schützen-Regiment 394 of the 3.Panzer-Division active in Southern Russia (Charkow); 1943-44 with Grenadier-Regiment(mot)29 of the 3.Panzergrenadier-Division 1943-44 active in Italy, Sep.-Oct.44 in Metz France, Nov.44-Feb.45 in the Ardennes, Mar.45 at Remagen. He was awarded with the EK2 because of his herodical actions under enemy fire on 26.5.44 in Fossodei Prevetti near Presciano (more details at the back of the EK2 award document). He got wounded for the third time on 29.5.44 in Italy.
