5) Iron Cross 2nd Class, 19.7.41. Signed by the CO of the 45.Infanterie-Division, Generalmajor Fritz Schlieper.

Born 1920 in Eving Dortmund. Civil occupation as a cook. He served Dec.40-Jul.42 (KIA) with Infanterie-Regiment 130 (later renamed Grenadier-Regiment 130) of the 45.Infanterie-Division 1941-42 active in Middle Russia (Pinsk, Kursk, Orel, Kiew, Woronesch). He was 5.12.41 shot through his right upper arm and till Jan.42 hospitalized in Breslau. After joining his former unit again he got severely wounded on 5.7.42 in the Kursk area and died one day later in the field hospital in Buchtejarowo.
