Called-up in 1915 and served 1915 in Russia with Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 120; got ill Oct.1915 and hospitalized in a field hospital and repatriated to Germany; 1917 active with Infanterie-Regiment 122 at the Western Front (Elsas, Lothringen etc.) and 1918 active at the Eastern Front; 1918 active in Russia and the Ukraine with Infanterie-Regiment 121; discharged 27.12.1918.
