Upholsterer born 1908 in Cottbus living in Stettin. He served: Apr.-Jun.40 for basic military training (trained with K98 and MG34) with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 202 in Güstrow; Jun.40-Jul.42 with Infanterie-Regiment 202 of the 75.Infanterie-Division, 1940 active in France (Maginot Line) and occupation force in Poland till May 41, from Jun.41 onwards active in Southern Russia (Cholm, Kiew, Belgorod). He was KIA on 12.7.42 by a direct hit from an artillery grenade in Petropawlowskoje (other undefined place mentioned in the Wehrpass). Probably still buried in his field grave because he was not transferred to a war cemetery after WW2.
