Bricklayer born 1910 in Braubach. He served: Feb.-May 40 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 107 in Wreschen Warthegau; Jun.40 with Infanterie-Regiment 87 of the 36.Infanterie-Division active in France (Ardenne chanel-Maas, Verdun). During the battles for Verdun he got heavily wounded on 11.6.40 by shrapnell in his righ upper arm and was hospitalized in several hospitals till Apr.41. He was discharged from military service on 7.7.41.
