Carpenter born 1924 in Stolzenau. RAD service Mar.-Sep.42 working for the Luftwaffe. He served: Oct.-Nov.42 for basic military training with Jäger-Ersatz-Bataillon 28 in Metz; Nov.42-May 43 with Reserve-Jäger-Bataillon 28 of the 148.Reserve-Division based in Castres France; May 43 again with Jäger-Ersatz-Bataillon 28 now based in Troppau (Opava Czech Republic); May-Oct.43 with field replacements unit Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 8 and Oct.43-Feb.44 with Jäger-Regiment 38, both of the 8.Jäger-Division active under the 16.Armee in Northern Russia (Ilmensee). He got wounded on 23.2.44 by shrapnell and died four days later on 27.2.44. According to the information below he was KIA in Walk Latvia and is nowadays buried at the war cemetery in Walk.
