Born 13.6.1920 in Stassfurt-Magdeburg. Civil occupation as an airplane mechanic (Flugzeugbauer). He served: Mar.-Jul.42 with (field post number L10052) Flieger-Ausbildungs-Regiment 10 based in Mauberge; Jul.-Aug.42 with (field post number L??); Aug.-Nov.42 with Flieger-Regiment 61; Nov.42-Apr.43 with Bordschützenanwärter-Bataillon 1; Apr.43 Bordschützenanwärter-Leitstelle Graudenz; Apr.-Jul.43 with 7./Bordschützenschule in Stolp-Reitz; Jul.43-Mar.44 with 10.(IV.)/Kampfgeschwader 6 (flying in Ju88A) home based in Bretigny France; Mar.-May 44 with 1./Nachtjagdgeschwader 7 (flying in Ju88G) home based in Münster-Handorf. He was KIA on 25.5.44 when his plane crashed (shot down?) near Lüdinghausen 15 km west of Münster (West Germany).
