He served: Oct.39-May 40 with truck depot Heimat-Kraftfahrpark Erfurt; May-Jul.40 attached to Heimat-Kraftfahrpark Koblenz while working at spare parts depot Ersatzteil-Lager IX/1 active in Belgiu and France; Jul.-Dec.40 with Ersatzteillager XXXI as occuption force in France; Dec.40-May 44 with central spare parts depot Zentral-Ersatzteillager 112 active till Apr.41 in France and 1941-1944 at the Eastern Front (1941-42 in Northern Russia under Heeresgruppe Nord); May-Sep.44 with truck depot Kraftfahr-Instandsetzungs-Park 601 active in the Baltic States (under Wehrmachtsbefehlshaber Ostland) and in the Southern Ukrain. He was KIA 6.9.44, died in field hospital 5/562 in Klausenburg (Kolozsvár Rumania). He is nowadays buried at the war cemetery in Iasi Romania.
