2) Very nice postcard sized uniform portait wearing his awards with shoulder board marked with P. Dated at the back 18.1.43 „short for my release from the army“.
3) Military discharge document, 11.6.43. Very bad condition.
4) DAF German Labour Front pass, 1935. Used till 1946.


Entitled to: „Panzerkampfabzeichen“ tank assault badge (23.7.42), Iron Cross 2nd Class (1.12.42), Wound Badge in Silver (31.10.43) and Wound Badge in Gold (15.4.44).

Salesman born 1919 in Hamburg living in Hamburg-Bergedorf. He served: Jun.-Aug.40 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 90 home based in Ratzeburg but now active as occupation force in Denmark; Aug.40-Jul.41 with Schützen-Regiment 394 of the 3.Panzer-Division active in Middle Russia (Minsk, Smolensk, Kiew, Brjansk, Tula); got severely wounded on 17.7.41 in Tschanssy by shrapnell in his head and left arm and was a long time hospitalized and attached to Schützen-Ersatz-Bataillon 3; finally discharged from military service on 9.6.43. For this single injury he was first awarded with the wound badge in Silver but that was 1944 changed to gold. He was trained with K98, MG34 and Panzerbüchse anti tank rifle.
