He served Sep.-Oct.44 at the Luftwaffe airfield at Zebst (Anhalt, Germany Fliegerhorstkommandantur 16/III) based in Luftwaffe Air District III (Berlin). Jagdgeschwader 3 and 102 were based at this airfield, in 1944 also I./NJG 101 and III.JG 301. Oct.44 he was transferred to A.u.S Rgt.d.Lfl.4, securing the airfields (and active in ground combat against the Russian Army) of Luftwaffe Air District 4: 1944 in Hungary, 1945 Slovakia and surrendered in Austria.
