He served: Nov.38-Jan.39 as anti tank gunner PAK-Schütze with Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 25 in Kornwestheim; Aug.-Nov.39 with Panzerabwehr-Ersatz-Kompanie 25 also in Kornwestheim; Nov.39-Sep.40 with Fliegerhorstkommandantur Böblingen, the militay airfield in Böblingen; Sep.-Nov.40 with Luftpark Metz at the military airfield in Metz France; Nov.40-Apr.41 again at the airfield in Böblingen; Apr.41 with Feld-Luftzeuggruppe Neapel technical Luftwaffe supply unit in Napels Italy; May 41- May 42 with (L33422) Luftwaffen-Bau-Geräte-Zug 3/I, a construction machines unit active at the Eastern Front; Jun.42-Apr.44 with Beutepark der Luftwaffe 5, based in Paris-Nanterre this was the largest of a complex of plane salvage facilities in France and Belgium used to turn shot down Allied aircraft into raw materials for the German war effort; during the last period Jan.-Feb.43 course at the Fliegertechnische Schule Jüterbog; May 44-Apr.45 with Luftwaffe Leitstelle Südost in Germany; Apr.-May 45 with Erw.Korück-Betr.
