Born 1923 in Bad Griesbach. 1938 HJ member/leader at Bann 170 in Offenburg/Baden. 1938-1940 student at the sales school in Offenburg, 1940-1942 working as junior salesman. NSFK member 1942 with NSFK Sturm 2/83 in Offenburg. Since 1942 NSDAP member. He served: Oct.42-Jan.43 with schwere Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung 45 in Rottweil; Jan.-Feb.43 with 7./Flieger-Regiment 51 in Antwerp Belgium; Feb.-Apr.43 with Kampfbeobachter-Anwärter Bataillon 1; Apr.-Jun.43 with (field post number 50827) 9./Flugmelde-Mess-Abteilung z.b.V. 22; Jun.43-Jan.44 with III/Kampf Beobacher Schule 1 in Hohensalza; Jan.-Aug.44 with 13./ and 12./ of bomber squadron IV./Kampfgeschwader 4 „General Wever“ with He 111H bomber planes active from the airfield in Pilsen. IV./KG 4 was disbanded on 15.8.44. Sep.-Nov.44 he served with 12./ and 13./ of IV./Kampf-Geschwader 27 „Boelcke“ also with He 111H bomber planes active from the airfield in Pilsen; Nov.44-Jan.45 with personell collecting unit Personalleitstelle XIV.Fliegerkorps in Schönwalde; from Feb.45 onwards with railway Flak unit Eisenbahn-Transport Batterie Rheinhessen, renamed 2./leichte Flak-Abteilung 958 (E.Tr.) active protecting trains in Luftgau XIV (Koblenz). 1945 he was in POW camp 151 in Marseille France. After the war he worked as a salesman in Bad Griesbach.
