Entitled to: War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords and a honor certificate for excellent achievements „Ehrendiplom des kommandierenden Generals im Luftgau XVII“ (15.5.43).

Born 1917 in Vienna Wien Austria. Civil occupation as a typesetter. He served Nov.38-Oct.39 with Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 17 based in his hometown Wien Austria and 1939 active in Poland. Oct.-Dec.39 he was hospitalized because he had eye problems and a nervous breakdown. He had also heart problems and rheumatics and was therefore not suitable for front duty. He served 1940-1945 with Luftwaffe replacements unit A.u.E.-Stelle(L)XVII in Wien and Bad Ischl Austria. He was officially released from military service on 1.5.45 and send home.
