Born 1925 in Aachen. He served: Dec.43 with Grenadier-E.u.A.-Bataillon 306 based in Venlo Holland; 1943-44 with Grenadier-Ausbildungs-Bataillon 39 (Füsilier-Ausbildungs-Bataillon 39) based in Düsseldorf; 1944-45 with Divisions-Füsilier-Bataillon 371 of the 371.Infanterie-Division active in Croatia, Southern Russia, Ukraine and Upper Schlesia. He got wounded three times: 21.8.44 (Krakau area) by shrapnel but stayed with his unit, 16.2.45 (Upper Schlesia) again by shrapnel and stayed with his unit and finally on 8.3.45 (shot, also Upper Schlesia) and now hospitalized in Germany till at least Jan.46.
