Born 1924 in Witzenhausen-Kassel. He was 15.10.44 transferred from the Luftkriegsschule 1 in Dresden tot II./Zerstörer-geschwader 101 (ZG1), a Fighter-Bomber training unit based in Germany (Wünstorf, Aibling).
The life expectancy of inexperienced pilots during this late stage of the war was one operational sortie!
