2) Besitzzeugnis Kleinbootsabzeichen, 12.3.41. Award document for the “Small Boats Badge” ? Badge was awarded on 15.12.40. Signed by the commander of (field post number M09476) the Vorposten boat V1307, Leutnant zur See Grüneberg. Rare ? Used condition.
3) Iron Cross 2nd Class, 13.9.43. Signed by the CO of the North Sea security units, Konteradmiral Ernst Lucht (GCiG 9.11.44, Kn.Cr. 17.1.45).
4) Wound Badge in Black, 13.5.44. Signed by the CO of the 13.Vorposteflottille, Kapitänleutnant.

He served 1941-1944 on board of the V1307 with the 13.Vorpostenflottille based in Rotterdam Holland active at the Dutch coast and in the North Sea under command of the 1.Sicherungs-Division. Alfred got wounded (for the first time) on 11.5.44 but was most probably not hospitalized. During the five years of operation the 13.Vorposten-Flottille lost 9 of 18 ships, of the 750 men personnel 202 men were KIA and 293 were wounded. The Flottille was disbanded in Jan.45.
