He served: Oct.43-Jan.44 with navy school Marine-Kriegs-Schule Mürwick; Jan.-Jul.44 (field post number M17684 is Linienschiff Schleswig Holstein) on board of the battle ship SMS Schlesswig-Holstein, 1944 used as a training ship; Aug.44-Jan.45 with Marineschule Heiligendamm; Feb.-May.45 again for officer schooling with Marine-Kriegs-Schule Mürwick. Entry that he had his own privately bought 7.65mm Sauer pistol. Promotion 1.3.45 to Fähnrich (Ing) d.R..
