Mechanic born 1921 in Düsseldorf. He served: Jul.41-Mar.44 with (field post number 44550) Admiral Agais, the Jul.41 in Athens Greece formed navy command unit for the Aegean Sea, for the necessary sea transports (including supplies for the North Africa theater of war) and the security of maritime traffic as well as coastal defense; Mar.-Nov.44 with (field post number 26017) navy transport unit 17.Marine-Kraftfahr-Abteilung active in the retreat operations from Greece and the Balkans; Nov.-Dec.44 marching back to Germany; Jan.45 on a leave; from Feb.45 onwards serving with K-Regiment(mot), the motorized transport unit of the Kleinkämpfverbände, under direct command of Admiral der Kleinkampfverbände. The K-Verband (“small battle units”) was a special naval unit that operated a mixture of midget submarines and explosive speed boats. It was formed in April 1944 and operated until 26 April 1945. Any documents to K-Verband personnel are very rare!
Mar.-Apr.42 in field hospital Feldlazarett (mot) 61228 because of Tonsillitis; Oct.43 in hospital Lazarett Kallithea on the island Rhodes because of Malaria. Over the years several K98 rifles and pistols issued.
