Car mechanic born 1922 in Aunkofen-Kehlheim. He served: Mar.-May 42 with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon(mot)41 in Amberg; May-Jul.42 with Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 198, field replacements unit of the 98.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Juchnow); Jul.-Aug.42 with 1./Infanterie-Regiment 282 also of the 98.Infanterie-Division active in Middle Russia (Juchnow). Rifle was issued on 13.7.42. He was KIA on 25.8.42 north of Fedkowo. Probably still buried in his field grave as he was not moved to a war cemetery after WW2.
