Construction intern born 1922 in Kupferzell living in Ludwigsburg. RAD service Feb,-Sep.41 as a Zugführer with RAD-Abteilung 1/270. He served Oct.-Dec.41 with leichte Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 260 in Ludwigsburg; Dec.41-Mar.42 with leichte Artillerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 215 in Heilbronn; Mar.-Aug.42 with Artillerie-Regiment 387 of the Feb.42 in Döllersheim new formed 387.Infanterie-Division active in Southern Russia (Kursk, Woronesh); Just before his unit got active in the Don in the battle of Stalingrad he was sent to Germany (ill?); till Feb.43 serving with replacements unit in Munich and infantery officer schooling at Schule III für Offizier-Anwärter der Infanterie in Metz France; Feb.-Mar.43 with the at the army compounds in Grafenwöhr new forming Grenadier-Regiment 881, Mar.43 used to form Grenadier-Regiment 261; Mar.-Oct.43 with staff units of Grenadier-Regiment 261 of the 113.Infanterie-Division, new formed (former Stalingrad unit) in France and Jul.-Oct.43 active in fierce battles in middle Russia (Jelnja, Newel) where the division was decimated and Nov.43 completely destroyed. He got wounded at his left upper arm on 11.8.43 in Rydki but stayed at the front. He was KIA on 15.10.43 in Poisuchi (?) by shrapnell at the right side of his head.
