Salesman born 1897 in Kirrweiler. WW1 Infantry service as NCO Apr.16-Feb.19. In WW2 he served: Mar.-Apr.40 with Propaganda-Kompanie (mot) 612, a motorized propaganda unit active under Army Group B (Heeresgruppe B) at that moment based at the Westwall preparing for the invasion in France. This propaganda unit was responsible for making the „Westwall-Boten“, a newspaper for soldiers based at the Westwall. Apr.40 he was at the Propaganda-Ersatzkompanie in Potsdam where he was discharged because he was needed elsewhere („UK-Stellung“). Not called-up again in WW2.
