Document of the NSKOV (NS-Kriegsopferversorgung, National Socialist War Victims Welfare Service) concerning his death.
He served 1944 with II./Jagdgeschwader 27 (9.Staffel) as a fighter pilot (Messerschmitt Me109). He was KIA on 23.8.44. II./JG27 was then active at the Eastern Front and based on the airfield in Fels securing the area of Vienna.
In the book Jagdgeschwader 27 of Motorbuch Verlag he is mentioned on page 351.
