Mechanic born 1923 in Herten. He was till 1944 schooled as a ships mechanic and served from Mar.44 onwards with the 3.Sperrbrecher-Flottille on board of the Sperrbrecher 132 “Cressida” employed as escort for outgoing and returning U-Boat operations in the water ways around Norway, Denmark and Jutland (so called Belt and Sund) and also employed in operation in the western Baltic. The unit was dissolved in 1946.
